- What should my child wear to a class?
For recreational gymnastics classes, children can wear either shorts/leggings and a t-shirt (something tight fitting so it will not slide over your child’s head if they go upside down), or a gymnastic leotard. We have gymnastics leotards available for purchase at the gym. Bare feet in the gym is required for safety reasons. Hair should be pulled back in a hair tie and no jewelry should be worn.
2. What do I need to bring?
A water bottle, For those with long hair, a hair tie is required.
3. How do I know which class to enroll my child in?
Class structure is based on age, you can look at the schedule and fee’s to see what class you should sign you child up for. If their birthday is days away from an age change, you can call the office to update the registration information.
4. How do I register at Twisters?
All registration is online on our website. You first need to setup a member profile and then register for our programs. If you have difficulty you can call the office and they can walk you through the process.
5. How do I pay for a class?
When you register online it will ask for you to send an e-transfer. If you prefer to pay by cash, debit or credit card you can call the office to arrange payment.
6. What is the refund policy?
If you have withdrawn before the classes start you will be charged a $25.00 administration fee and written notice is required. Refunds or Credits will only be given prior to the second class of the term unless you have a doctor’s note.
7. Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes, you pay the full price for the most expensive program then you receive 10% off each child after that. (Summer Camp is not included)
8. What is a Term and why do fees differ for some Terms?
We run three Terms: Fall Winter and Spring, the price is based on the number of classes that are in each term and the length of the class.
9. Do you offer makeup classes or refunds for classes missed?
No we do not offer makeup classes.
10. Do you offer trial classes or drop-in before registration?
No we do not offer a trial class.
11. Do you offer Private Lessons?
Ye we offer private lessons. The price is based on the amount of time booked and the coaching certification level of the coach you book. Coaches for private lessons must be a minimum of Level 2 certified.
12. What happens if the weather is bad?
If we have to cancel a class due to bad weather we do not offer a make-up class.
13. Can I request a specific coach?
You can request a coach but there is no guarantee that the coach will be available.
14. When do you hold tryouts for your Competitive Gymnastics teams?
All our advanced classes are a one year commitment, therefore we hold tryouts in the Spring, (we will post the information on Facebook and Instagram) for the Fall start. Anyone can sign up for testing (there is a small fee) and spots are limited based on availability.
