To Our Valued Membership,
As you are all aware, we are living in challenging times. We know and understand that everyone is doing their best to adjust to our current situation as it changes and progresses. Some of us are working from home, or not working at all. We have become teachers to our kids as we work through the difficulties of online learning, and we are doing our best to keep them active and occupied. We know that this COVID-19 pandemic has put a financial and emotional strain on many of our families, and we want you to know that our staff and executive are doing our very best to ensure that once we are permitted to reopen, that our club remains a financially viable entity.
Twisters Gymnastics and Trampoline Club has been a valuable part of the Orangeville community for more than 25 years. Our staff and coaches have been committed to keeping kids active and fit, and to sharing their love of the sport and how it can be beneficial to its participants in so many ways. We have been extremely fortunate to have top notch coaches, and a fantastic group of parents who devote their time and efforts that have helped us to become one of the most well respected, well-run gymnastics clubs in Ontario.
What many of our members do not know, is that we are a NOT FOR PROFIT organization, run completely by our amazing group of parent volunteers. Throughout the course of each year, our staff and volunteers run a number of competitions and fundraising events that contribute towards our overhead. It is only because of our fundraising efforts that we are able to continue to operate well above the expected standards, providing the best instruction and programs available. Our recreational and competitive programs, our equipment, staff and operating expenses are subsidized solely by our registration fees and fundraising efforts. Our fees remain reasonable only because we operate as a not for profit organization.
As of today, we still do not know when we may be able to get back into the gym, and we know that when we do that we will be adjusting to a “new normal”. In the interim, we have credited any fees paid for the spring term towards your fall registration. We are working diligently to put together new safety protocols and distancing measures, as well as updating staff procedure manuals and training tools. We intend to implement new drop off and pick up procedures, hand washing stations, cleaning protocols, and many other measures to ensure that we are operating above and beyond the expected standard.
We want you all to know that the health and safety of your children, and our staff is the utmost priority for us, and that we are putting these measures in place to ensure that Twisters is a safe environment where your kids can continue to grow, learn and stay active. Should you have any questions or concerns at any time, please feel free to contact the club via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also contact me directly via email at email@example.com or message me on social media.
We miss you all and are looking forward to seeing your smiling faces again soon. In the meantime, stay home and stay safe – and remember….this too shall pass.
